MEMBERS AREA: Poomsae Movies - Sam Jang
Poomsae taegeuk sam jang: (third pattern).  Fire is unpredictable and explosive.  When it gets out of control it becomes a most devastating adversary.  Taeguk sam jang is the embodiment of fire’s fury.  Explosive kicks, lunges and double punches characterise this form.  Fire contains a lot of energy.  Fire helps man to survive but on the other hand causes catastrophic results.
This form should be performed rhythmically with some outbursts of energy.  What distinguishes man from animal is that man knows how to use fire.  Burning fire gives man light to see, warmth, enthusiasm and hope.  Accordingly, this poomse should be performed with variety and with passion.  Sam jang is the taeguk poomse for green belt (6th Kup).
