1  Olympics and Taekwondo?
The Olympics in Seoul 1988 saw the advancement and recognition of WTF taekwondo as an international sport. It is an official Olympic event...look out for British hopefuls in Beijing 2008 and London 2012.

2  When can a beginner start Taekwondo competitively? Are the Olympics also a possibility?
A beginner can enter competitions when they feel ready. Some organisers have a pee-wee category, so competing as young as 3 years old is a possibility. To enter the Olympics you must be over 16 years old, a blackbelt holder and also qualify through the respective channels and regional selection.
