1  What are gradings?
Gradings are a series of taekwondo exercises designed to test your ability and knowledge.

2  How often are gradings?
Gradings are scheduled four times a year. That's every 12 weeks (3 months). Usually, mid-March, June, September and December.

3  How long will it take me to reach black-belt (1st Dan)?
Hmmm...3 years. If you train regularly and grade every 12 weeks. It might take a little longer depending on your circumstances and other commitments.

4  Is there a cost to take the grading?
Yes, there is a cost to take the grading. The first grading for 9th Kup is £22.00. The grading cost rises incrementally to cover the cost of the belt, the certificate and the test itself.
